The Dutch midfielder has enjoyed a renaissance season at Anfield as he transformed from a squad player under Jurgen Klopp to the integral cog in Arne Slot's midfield. After Liverpool failed to add a defensive midfielder in the summer, there were concerns that the Reds would struggle this season. However, Gravenberch has filled the hole and answered all questions asked of him this campaign.

Gravenberch joined the Reds from Bayern Munich, where he had also found game time limited. Once considered one of the brightest talents in European football, Gravenberch had seemed unable to recapture the form he displayed at Ajax. That was the case until Slot joined Liverpool. Shifted slightly further back to the base of midfield, the 23-year-old has reinvented himself and was vital in Liverpool winning the Premier League.
